Product Manager – Acquiring & Payment

Responsibility 1. Market Research & Requirements Analysis · Assist in researching global acquiring market trends and competitor strategies (e.g., local payment methods, e-wallets), and analyze merchant needs (e.g., settlement efficiency, multi-currency payouts) to support product planning with structured reports. · Identify pain points in acquiring scenarios (e.g., high payment failure rates) through merchant interviews and event tracking, and propose targeted improvements. 2. Product Design & Iteration · Participate in the design of cross-border acquiring features, including payment routing, gateway architecture, checkout interface, multi-currency account management, subscriptions, bulk payouts, FX locking, and split settlement/unfreeze modules. Deliver wireframes (Axure/Figma) and detailed PRDs. · Optimize payment flows (e.g., streamline merchant onboarding) to improve success rates and enhance merchant experience. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management · Coordinate across engineering, compliance, and risk teams to drive timely feature development, testing, and deployment. · Collaborate with operations and sales teams to define go-to-market strategies, provide product training, and support merchant onboarding. 4. Product Analysis & Optimization · Analyze acquiring performance data (e.g., transaction volume, failure reasons) using AI-powered tools. · Regularly publish product performance reports and propose feature iterations (e.g., routing optimization, reducing false positives in risk rules). 5. Compliance & Risk Support · Assist in merchant due diligence (KYC review). · Maintain and update compliance process documentation for the acquiring product. Qualifications 1. Education & Foundational Knowledge · Degree: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field. · Industry Knowledge: Understanding of cross-border payments (e.g., local payment methods, FX conversion), and acquiring logic (e.g., payment routing, transaction flows, error handling). 2. Core Skills · Tools: Heavy user of AIGC tools for knowledge gathering, PRD generation, visual/video creation; proficient in Axure/Figma for prototyping; skilled in using AI tools for data analysis. · Technical Literacy: Familiar with the payment transaction lifecycle (e.g., API integration, routing strategies, success rate optimization); basic understanding of clearing and settlement principles. · Communication & Logic: Strong ability to deconstruct requirements and collaborate efficiently with tech and business teams. 3. Experience & Soft Skills · Experience: 1–2 years of internship or work experience in the payments/financial sector; prior exposure to acquiring/payment gateway projects is preferred. · Personal Attributes: Fast learner (adapts quickly to evolving market rules); resilient under pressure (able to handle complex logic and precision of payment systems).
