Legal Counsel (Construction Industry, North Region)

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, vendor, and construction contracts.
• Conduct legal due diligence and assess contractual risks.
• Advise project teams on contract issues, claims, delays, and variations.
• Handle disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters.
• Provide guidance on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise on business impact.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and training programs.
• Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Law from a recognised university. 
• Minimum 5 years’ relevant corporate/commercial law experience, preferably in-house.
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in litigation and dispute resolution, particularly construction-related.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and associated agreements.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
