Job Description
Job Summary
Cloud Engineer responsible for driving the organization’s digital strategy by transforming IT systems into a secure, scalable, and cost-optimized Microsoft Azure cloud environment. Designs high-availability architectures and also provides 2nd-level end-user support and manages daily IT operations.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience;
- Must have 4+ years of relevant experience in Microsoft Azure cloud environments;
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and containerized workloads;
- Proficient in Azure App Services, Azure Application Gateway, and Load Balancing;
- Solid understanding of Azure Networking (TCP/IP, subnetting, VNet peering, S2S & P2S VPN);
- Experience with automation and scripting using Azure CLI, PowerShell, YAML, and related tools (e.g., OpenLens, Docker, Visual Studio Code);
- Experience in Cloudflare DNS and Web Application Firewall (WAF);
- Exposure to cloud and network monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Dynatrace, Grafana, PRTG);
- Hands-on experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Terraform);
- Experience supporting Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 services;
- Strong troubleshooting and operational support capabilities.
Desired Skill-set
- Microsoft Azure certifications, including DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer, or Solutions Architect;
- Additional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC) will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure including VMs, AKS, App Services, networking, storage, and security components;
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and optimize cloud workloads for reliability and efficiency;
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and operations using tools such as Jenkins, PowerShell, and Azure CLI scripting;
- Implements Infrastructure as Code to automate deployments, and strengthens identity and data security to ensure business continuity and reduce cyber risks;
- Optimizes cloud spending while aligning technology solutions with business goals and operational agility;
- Ensure adherence to security, governance, and regulatory standards, including MAS TRM and PCI-DSS compliance requirements.
