Job Summary
We are looking for 3- 8 an experienced L3 DBA with strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and Azure database technologies. The candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, high availability, backup & recovery, and production support in enterprise environments.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Strong hands-on experience in Microsoft SQL Server Administration;
- Strong experience in MySQL Database Administration;
- Expertise in SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing;
- Experience in backup, restore, disaster recovery, and database maintenance;
- Hands-on experience with High Availability solutions such as Always On, clustering, and replication;
- Experience in Azure SQL Database / Azure Managed Instance administration;
- Knowledge of database monitoring and troubleshooting tools;
- Experience in handling production support and critical incident management;
- Strong understanding of database security, access management, and compliance;
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts;
Desired Skill-set
- Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server Agent Jobs;
- Knowledge of automation and scripting using PowerShell, Shell scripting, or Python;
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure automation;
- Familiarity with cloud migration projects and hybrid database environments;
- Understanding of ITIL processes and service management practices;
- Experience with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Redgate, Dynatrace, or similar;
- Azure certification or Database Administration certifications preferred;
- Good communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to work in 24x7 support and rotational shifts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer MSSQL and MySQL databases in production and non-production environments;
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and migrations;
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and execution plans;
- Handle backup, restore, disaster recovery, and database maintenance activities;
- Troubleshoot database issues, incidents, deadlocks, replication, and performance bottlenecks;
- Implement and support High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions;
- Manage Azure SQL Database, Azure Managed Instance, and cloud database environments;
- Ensure database security, user access management, and compliance standards;
- Support application deployments, release activities, and database changes;
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and support teams for issue resolution;
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and operational reports;
- Participate in on-call support and critical incident management.
