Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Market Risk professional to support risk oversight and trading analytics within a commodities trading environment. This role offers strong exposure to both physical and derivatives trading, working closely with front office teams to monitor risk, validate trades, and support hedging strategies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage market risk exposure across physical and paper trading portfolios to maintain risk limits
• Analyse daily P&L for derivatives trading to assess alignment with hedging strategies against physical positions
• Verify daily trades to ensure accuracy and integrity of deal inputs
• Review clearing bank statements and manage margin calls for exchange-traded positions to maintain financial compliance
• Ensure adherence to internal trading policies, risk limits, and governance frameworks
• Prepare daily and monthly market risk and exposure reports for management review to inform decision-making
• Support development, enhancement, and implementation of market risk frameworks and policies to strengthen risk management
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and finance teams to conduct risk analysis and support business decisions
• Participate in ad-hoc risk analysis and projects to address emerging risks and improve processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in market risk, product control, or trading support functions
• Strong understanding of derivatives, hedging strategies, and P&L analysis within a trading environment
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-driven and able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team player with effective communication skills
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin to liaise with regional stakeholders, supporting cross-border communication
