Senior C&S Engineer [SL]

• Responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Responsible for project planning, supervising site operations, resolving technical issues, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Lead the planning, execution, and overall management of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and requirements.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, monitor progress, and implement corrective measures to ensure deadlines are achieved.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to review construction drawings and ensure designs are practical, compliant, and buildable.
• Carry out feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues early and recommend effective solutions.
• Maintain compliance with quality standards and project specifications through regular inspections and monitoring of construction activities.
• Ensure construction materials and methods meet local building regulations, codes, and project requirements.
• Coordinate site activities among stakeholders to ensure smooth and uninterrupted project execution.
• Oversee daily site operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide technical support, guidance, and mentorship to site personnel while ensuring subcontractor performance aligns with project objectives.
• Develop, implement, and enforce site safety procedures and protocols in collaboration with safety personnel to promote a strong safety culture.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to encourage safe working practices across the project team.
• Monitor project costs and expenditures, and assist in preparing budget forecasts to achieve financial targets.
• Review contractor claims, invoices, and variation orders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and completed work scopes.
• Prepare comprehensive progress reports for the Project Manager, outlining milestones, issues, risks, and overall project performance.
• Support the HOD Engineering team by providing updates and contributing to strategic project planning and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction Management, Professional Engineer PE, Chartered Engineer, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building construction.
• Proficient in using engineering design software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
