Regional Management Accountant (Logistics / East) [EL]

• Review monthly management reporting packs at regional level to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely submission to headquarters.
• Identify and rectify reporting discrepancies, while coordinating with country finance teams to resolve outstanding issues.
• Perform analytical review of costs, expenses, and financial trends to assess reasonableness and highlight variances.
• Raise queries and follow up with respective countries on abnormal transactions or balances.
• Review balance sheet movements and monitor potential financial and operational risk exposures.
• Ensure accuracy of financial disclosures including related party transactions, cash balances, banking facilities, and loan positions.
• Ensure compliance with headquarters finance policies, accounting standards, and internal procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for finance systems, processes, and internal controls.
• Conduct clarification sessions and knowledge-sharing discussions with finance teams to address recurring issues.
• Document meeting discussions, action items, and accountability ownership for proper follow-up.
• Monitor corrective actions to ensure issues are resolved and do not recur.
• Support cash flow monitoring and expenditure control initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, internal control requirements, and audit standards.
• Participate in control self-assessment and internal audit activities.
• Perform periodic review of fixed asset registers and validate depreciation accuracy.
• Review bank reconciliations regularly to ensure aged reconciling items are cleared promptly.
