Job Description
Job Scopes:
- Perform commissioning of DRUPS (Diesel Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems
- Support the Assistant Manager in achieving operational objectives
- Ensure high-quality service standards are delivered to customers
- Lead and supervise the team to complete assigned tasks efficiently
- Train, mentor, guide, and evaluate technicians and engineers
- Coordinate commissioning activities with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
- Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings prior to work commencement
- Provide performance feedback of Assistant Engineers (AE), Technicians, and General Workers (GW) to management
- Deliver technical and logistical support to assigned project sites
- Offer on-site technical consultation and advisory support to customers
- Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations
- Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments for assigned projects
- Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance and ad-hoc service works
- Provide 24/7 customer support via phone and on-site attendance when required
- Monitor maintenance activities including batteries, coolant systems, and related components
- Track, update, and report outstanding issues for assigned sites
- Maintain strong and professional customer relationships
- Lead and execute overhaul works as Person-in-Charge (PIC)
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Manager
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification/experience
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience, preferably in complex system installation and/or maintenance environments.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to respond effectively under pressure
- Willing to travel internationally to support customers on-site.
Technical Competencies:
Ability to interpret Boolean PLC logic for troubleshooting (Schneider platform experience preferred
Strong understanding of routine maintenance scope with in-depth product knowledgeProficient in using basic hand tools and specialized tools as required
Competent in operating diagnostic instruments such as vibration meters, multimeters, temperature meters, amp meters, battery testers, and Power Quality Analyzers (PQA)
Able to interface with system software for troubleshooting, including QMS, PLC software, ProjectMaker, and DiconScope
Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical and basic mechanical drawings for commissioning and fault diagnosis
Capable of replacing electrical components independently
Able to perform all aspects of electrical commissioning
Competent in analyzing and reporting PQA, SCADA, and Dicon data (training provided)
