Naval Architect (FPSO/FSO, Singapore/China)

Job Summary

We are assisting a reputable client to source a Naval Architect for an offshore project requiring presence in Singapore and China for two years. Ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a shipyard in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in naval architecture to design, construct, and execute offshore platform and FPSO projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with project specifications
• Utilize Staad Pro, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD software to develop detailed structural models and drawings that support project execution and decision-making
• Perform structural calculations and analyses to validate design safety, optimize materials, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet technical and operational requirements for offshore installations
• Manage project tasks on-site in Singapore and China, adapting to local conditions and coordinating with stakeholders to achieve project milestones

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in offshore platforms, FPSO, or related naval architecture projects

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Staad Pro, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD software for structural design and drafting
• Strong skills in structural calculations and analysis applied to offshore engineering contexts
