· System Engineering Duties : Elicit, analyze, and managesystem-level requirements. Define system architecture and allocate requirementsto hardware, software, and FPGA subsystems. Develop system verification plansand traceability matrices. Conduct trade-off studies (performance, power, cost,schedule) for FPGA vs. other processing solutions (DSP, GPU, MCU). Lead designreviews and interface with customers on technical specifications.
· FPGA Design Duties : Architect, code (VHDL/Verilog), simulate, andimplement FPGA designs on Xilinx or Intel platforms. Perform synthesis,place-and-route, timing closure, and power analysis. Develop testbenches andverification environments (including self-checking and coverage-drivenverification). Integrate IP cores (third-party or legacy) and design custominterfaces (PCIe, JESD204B, Ethernet, ADC/DAC controllers). Debug FPGA-relatedsystem issues using logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and JTAG debuggers.
· Integration& Validation : Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and system-levelintegration. Work alongside software engineers to validate driver and firmwareinteractions. Generate documentation, requirements specification, designdescription, verification report, and user manual.
· Preparecomprehensive firmware/software documentation by converting software andinterface requirements into clear and concise development specifications.
Qualities We Value
· Bachelor/Mastersin electrical engineering, computer engineeringor systems engineering
· Minimum 2to 3 years of combined experience in systems engineering and FPGA development.
· Familiarwith systems engineering processes (ISO 15288 or similar)
· Familiarwith scripting (Python, Tcl, or Bash) for automation
· Understandingof verification & validation (V&V) methodologies
· Understandingof digital signal processing (DSP) fundamentals is a plus
· Experiencewith both system thinking and deep FPGA expertise
· Experiencewith requirements management tools
· Hands-onexperience with Xilinx Vivado / Vitis or Intel Quartus
· Exposure tosafety/security standards (DO-254, IEC 61508, or similar) is advantageous
· Proficientin VHDL (preferred) or Verilog
· Workingknowledge of simulation tools (ModelSim, Questa, or Xcelium)
· Stronganalytical and problem-solving mindset.
· Excellentcommunication skills to bridge technical teams and customers.
· Ability towork independently and lead small technical work packages
