Objective / Summaryof the Position
The Solutions Engineer/Manager is responsible for designing and coordinating development of end-to-end bespoke logistics solutions for customer
Lead solution development for complex bids, balancing service requirements, cost-to-serve and operation feasibility. He / She is alsoexpected to support customer engagement and key internal stakeholders through workshops, presentations and technical proposals.
Create and maintain design standards, templates andtools across the region. Ensure consistency across solutions while adapting local constraints
Responsibilities:-
Warehouse Solution Design (Customer Facing)
- Support the development of new customers, either with existing client contact or by supporting the sales team for RFQ, site visit and presentation
- Analyse customer requirements and support Q&A sessions
- Design and propose warehousing solutions according to customer needs
- Evaluate resources, MHE, investments, EDI, automation and innovation opportunities, etc.
- Provide cost analysis and rates using cost model
- Build RFQ technical proposal and present the solution to customer
Project Management
- Work closely with Project Management Team for solutions handover upon project award
- Support in solutions adjustment during project implementation phase if needed
- Cost and budget follow-up
Commercial Package/Costing Tools
- Support Business Development team to create up-to-date commercial packages showcasing Company’s expertise and know-how
- Support Business Development team to improve internal costing and analytics tools
- Owner of solutions innovation, e.g., automations and robotics
Solution Re-engineering project
- Supporting re-engineering projects in the regions if needed.
Requirements:
- At least 3years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical and modelling skills
- Comfortable with data analytical and customer facing role
- Bachelor’s degree
- Advanced in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Visio, MS Project
- Advanced in AutoCAD
- Strong organization skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related discipline.
- Ability to work across multiple countries and culture
- Logistics simulation software, e.g., CLASS
- Data visualizationtool, e.g., Power BI
