We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Systems Programmer to support the design, development, automation, and maintenance of enterprise systems across Linux/Unix and AWS cloud environments. The rolerequires strong technical expertise in system-level programming, infrastructureautomation, and cloud technologies to ensure high availability, performance,and scalability of critical systems.
The successful candidate will be part of a regional team supporting a 24/7 production environment, and must be flexible to supportoff-hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain system-level programs and automation scripts to support enterprise infrastructure
- Manage and support Linux and Unix-based systems, ensuring stability, performance, and security
- Develop automation solutions using Shell scripting and Python to improve operational efficiency
- Support deployment, configuration, and monitoring of applications in AWS cloud environments
- Troubleshoot system issues across OS, application, and infrastructure layers
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to enhance system reliability and scalability
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for production systems
- Perform system upgrades, patching, and capacity planning
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and operational best practices
- Participate in 24/7 operational support, including on-call duties and regional team coordination
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in Systems Programming, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Unix operating systems
- Experience in AWS Cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
- Proficiency in Shell scripting and Python scripting for automation
- Strong understanding of system architecture, networking, and performance tuning
- Experience in automation, DevOps tools, or CI/CD pipelines is an advantage
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a regional team environment
- Willingness and flexibility to support 24/7 operations, including after-hours and on-call rotations
Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in enterprise-scale or financial services environments
