Cloudera Hadoop Support Engineer

We are seeking a Cloudera Hadoop Support Engineer to manage and support enterprise Hadoop environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Cloudera Hadoop administration, cluster operations, and security configurations, along with strong troubleshooting capabilities in a Linux-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, and administration of Cloudera Hadoop clusters
• Support cluster upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
• Manage Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka, and related services
• Implement and maintain security configurations, including authentication and access control
• Configure and manage SSL/TLS certificates to ensure secure communication across services
• Integrate and support Active Directory (AD) for user authentication and authorization
• Implement and maintain Kerberos authentication and cluster security hardening
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to security, performance, and system availability
• Perform Red Hat Linux system administration, including installation and configuration
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and service availability
• Coordinate with infrastructure, security, and application teams during deployments and issue resolution
• Maintain technical documentation for configurations, processes, and support procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Hadoop support or platform engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with Cloudera Hadoop installation, configuration, and support
• Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem tools (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark, Kafka)
• Experience in Hadoop security implementation and hardening
• Familiarity with SSL/TLS certificate management
• Experience integrating Active Directory (AD) with Hadoop environments
• Working knowledge of Kerberos authentication
• Strong Red Hat Linux administration skills
• Basic scripting knowledge (Shell or Python)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
