Finance Manager role (1 year contract role that is renewable) with an established asset management firm
Job Description
- Has hands-on experience of min 5+ to 10 years performing corporate accounting functions (including financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax reporting, doing AP/AR/ staff claims, GL etc)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivots, data analysis). Added consolidation experience is useful
- Open to a 1-year contract that is renewable for good performers.
Our client is a global asset management firm backed by a blue chip and international asset management firm based in town. It offers benefits (including 18 days leave pro rata for this 1 year contract, 1 month completion bonus etc ) and a 1 day per week WFH arrangement.
This is a 1-year contract role and the person will be employed under the asset mgt firm which offers good benefits. There is a chance of renewal at the end of the contract for a good performer. For this role, you report to a Corporate Accounting AD (team lead) and the CFO. You play a hands-on role and perform the following functions:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Independently manage monthly book closing for several entities, including an overseas entity covering accounts receivable, accounts payable, staff claims and reimbursements.
- Liaise independently with external auditors and tax consultants to support statutory audits and tax filings.
- Prepare year-end financial statements and annual budgets for the assigned entities.
- Perform group consolidation for a sub-group of entities.
- Review, maintain and improve Group accounting policies and related documentation.
- Participate in new projects (e.g. process improvements, system enhancements, new entity or product setup) as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related discipline.
- Has hands-on experience of around 5 to 10 years performing corporate accounting functions (including financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax reporting, doing AP/AR/ staff claims, GL etc)
- Exposure to the financial services industry is a plus but not a must
- Positive attitude, keen to learn and willing to take on new challenges.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple timelines & priorities.
- Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion and FCCS (or other consolidation systems) is preferred.
- Consolidation knowledge with Funds industry background is an added advantage.
- Hands-on (as this role will not manage staff)
- Open to a 12 months contract role
