Urgent!!! R&D Computer System Engineer (Linux SUSE, Hardware/Software Integration)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain customized SUSE Linux OS images tailored to client hardware and software environments.
• Leverage configuration management tools such as Salt or Ansible to automate and standardize system setups.
• Apply test-driven development (TDD) practices to ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of system configurations and scripts.
• Produce and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and tools.
• Develop and integrate diagnostic scripts with existing toolsets to enhance troubleshooting for both system configurations and hardware issues.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams—including hardware engineering, software development, and system integration—to support seamless deployment and operation of Linux-based systems.
• Actively participate in team discussions, design reviews, and code walkthroughs to share updates, gather feedback, and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Requirements:

• Doctorate (Academic) / Master's Degree / Bachelor's Degree
• Strong experience in computer hardware design, particularly in compute cluster or server environments.
• Experience in networking design, including InfiniBand, Ethernet switches, with expertise in port mapping and configuration.
• Familiarity with modern memory technologies (e.g., DDR4/DDR5, DIMM, LPDDR, HBM).
• Proven experience with Linux operating system customization and image creation.
• Proficiency in SaltStack, Ansible, or similar configuration management tools is a plus.
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with test-driven development practices and tools.
• Excellent documentation skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
