Architect (Manager)

SUMMARY

We are looking for an Architect Manager who will be responsible for optimizing space planning to achieve IT capacity inline with investment objectives. They will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and other structures.

The candidate must fully understand the client’s requirements, create detailed plans, ensure compliance with building codes, and manage projects from the initial concept to completion.

The candidate must possess technical knowledge to produce safe, functional and aesthetically pleasing structures.

·      Standardize construction methodology, inspection checklist, material specifications for quality control

·      Delivery of multiple regional projects at the same time

·      Positive influencing and outcome driven pre-consultation with Authorities Having Jurisdiction

·      Quality control of critical workmanship affecting the durability and functionality of critical spaces such as water-proofing, airtightness, thermal heat gain and floor finishes

·      Familiar with changes in planning policy and law that may affect property development

·      Complete test fits which incorporate Data Centre Building, Facility Building, Mechanical and Electrical plant

·      Finalizing the site master plan with architects, builders, engineers to meet service resiliency, functionality, operability and maintainability, sustainability, and time to market requirement

REQUIREMENTS

·       Accredited Architecture master’s degree

·       Minimum 15 years’ design experience in fast track industrial and critical infrastructure projects

·       Registration with Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Royal Town Planers Institute is preferred

·       LEED professional credentials preferred

·       Experience in hyper scale datacenter, micro-electronics or other critical infrastructure is preferred

·       Working experience with MEP engineers and familiar with space planning for MEP infrastructures

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Revit

·       Proficient in site planning and building codes and regulations

·       Due to the need to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders as well as regional counterparts, proficiency in English AND Mandarin is required.

·       Able to balance competing viewpoints and interests

·       Willing to travel based on project requirement

·       Track record in managing concurrent and fast-track projects, problem solving with innovative design and own the responsibility in driving desirable outcomes with both internal and external partners
