Data Engineer

Our client, one of Asia-Pacific’s leading organizations is looking for:
Data Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL / ELT data pipelines for data ingestion and processing
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and optimisation for analytics and reporting purposes
• Build and maintain scalable data models and datasets
• Support cloud-based data platform initiatives and analytics environments
• Work closely with business users, analysts, and technical teams to understand data requirements
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and performance optimisation
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and platform-related issues
• Support deployment, monitoring, and enhancement of data engineering solutions
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain best practices for data engineering processes

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong experience in ETL / ELT pipeline development
• Experience in data transformation and data modelling
• Hands-on exposure to cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments
• Experience with tools/platforms such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or similar is advantageous
• Good SQL and scripting/programming skills (e.g. Python, PySpark, Scala)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and big data technologies is preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
