Production Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage daily production activities to meet quality, safety, and output targets.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process deviations promptly to minimise downtime.
• Optimise workflows and production processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Collect, analyse, and interpret production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Identify recurring production issues and recommend sustainable long-term solutions.
• Support and conduct training for operators to enhance operational competency.
• Collaborate closely with quality control, maintenance, and logistics teams.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Monitor production parameters and adjust machine settings to maintain product quality.
• Operate production machinery and support operations during manpower shortages.
• Conduct routine inspections, calibration, and equipment adjustments.
• Prepare and maintain accurate daily and weekly production reports.
• Document production activities, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken.
• Actively participate in equipment setup, operation, and maintenance activities.
• Propose innovative ideas for cost savings and productivity improvements

Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Computer‑literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD.
• Able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience in the adhesive, paint, or chemical industry is an added advantage.
