Systems Engineer (Windows)

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Windows Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, hardening, and ongoing support of mission-critical Windows-based systems across physical and virtual environments. You will work closely with application, security, and network teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security compliance for enterprise banking and payment platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 environments in a highly available, regulated setting

• Manage and optimize VMware virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machine lifecycle

• Administer core directory and authentication services including Active Directory, Kerberos, DNS, and Group Policy

• Automate routine tasks, deployment, configuration, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), and system monitoring using PowerShell (or Python/C#)

• Troubleshoot complex operating system and application issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes

• Monitor hardware health and perform performance tuning across physical servers and virtual machines

• Partner with security teams to apply patches, remediate vulnerabilities, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards

• Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders, maintaining a high degree of customer service for all technical queries and incident escalations

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Windows Systems Engineer or similar infrastructure role

• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Windows 10/11 internals

• Strong proficiency in PowerShell for automation (scripting, deployment, monitoring, IaC); Python or C# experience is a plus

• Solid understanding of Active Directory, Kerberos authentication, DNS, and Group Policy management

• Proven experience with VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) in production environments

• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot OS crashes, performance bottlenecks, application compatibility issues, and hardware failures

• Experience with hardware monitoring tools and performance tuning in both physical and virtualized environments

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work calmly under pressure in fast-paced production environments

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation
