Job Description

Join our Scientific Division and be part of a dynamic team supporting advanced analytical and scientific instrumentation used across research laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and high-tech industries.

This role provides excellent hands-on technical exposure, structured training, regional customer support opportunities, and long-term career development within a growing organization.

Service Execution & Technical Support

  • Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair scientific and analytical instruments at customer sites across Singapore and regional countries.

  • Support advanced instrumentation including Particle Size Analyzers, XRF systems, spectroscopy instruments, ICP spectrometers, and related analytical equipment.

  • Perform calibration, verification, preventive maintenance, and system validation in accordance with SOPs, quality standards, and safety requirements.

  • Diagnose technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to ensure high equipment reliability.

  • Senior engineers will independently manage complex troubleshooting cases, escalations, and critical customer issues.

Customer Support & Training

  • Provide professional technical support and timely service updates to customers.

  • Prepare clear and accurate service reports, recommendations, and documentation.

  • Conduct user training on instrument operation, preventive maintenance, and safety practices.

  • Build strong customer relationships and deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Senior engineers may serve as key technical advisors for strategic customer accounts.

Coordination & Technical Escalation

  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, regional technical specialists, and factory support teams to resolve customer issues efficiently.

  • Escalate technical matters with proper documentation, including logs, system data, and observations.

  • Coordinate cross-functional support activities for critical service cases and regional projects.

Documentation, Quality & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate service records, calibration reports, spare parts usage, and system configuration backups.

  • Ensure proper handling, traceability, and maintenance of tools and spare parts.

  • Comply with company safety policies, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.

Learning & Development

  • Continuously develop product knowledge and application expertise through structured training and hands-on experience.

  • Stay updated on new technologies, product enhancements, and industry practices.

  • Senior engineers may mentor junior team members and contribute to technical knowledge sharing and service best practices.

Business & Operational Support

  • Identify opportunities for service contracts, upgrades, spare parts, and preventive maintenance programs.

  • Support quotation preparation and service-related documentation where required.

  • Senior engineers may support service business growth and collaborate with Sales/Application teams on key customer opportunities.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure timely and high-quality service execution in line with customer expectations and company standards.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, turnaround time, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, or related disciplines.

Technical Experience

  • Experience or exposure to analytical/scientific instruments such as Particle Size Analyzers, XRF, spectroscopy systems, ICP spectrometers, or related laboratory instrumentation is advantageous.

  • Minimum 4 years of field service experience in scientific or analytical instrumentation, with the ability to independently manage complex technical issues and customer escalations.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service assignments effectively.

  • Good documentation and reporting skills.

  • Strong awareness of safety and quality standards.

Additional Requirements

  • Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
  • Possess good planning and time management skills.
  • Own transport is preferred.
  • Location: Kallang
    Salary up to $5000 with AWS, VB, Transport allowance etc
