Software Test Engineer

Key Deliverables for the Role

1. Develop, document, and execute test cases to evaluate system performance, including load, stress, scalability, and reliability testing.
2. Conduct non-functional testing using both manual methods and automation tools to ensure compliance with defined performance benchmarks and quality standards.
3. Assess test results and produce comprehensive reports outlining system performance, stability, and areas for improvement.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
2. Hands-on experience in non-functional testing across REST APIs, IBM MQ, and GUI applications, including performance, load, and resiliency/failover testing.
3. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, or Python for test execution, automation, and metrics collection.
4. Strong experience working in UNIX/Linux environments is essential.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
6. Strong analytical mindset with solid problem-solving capabilities.
7. Understanding of financial markets products such as Indices, Equities, Commodities, FX, and Fixed Income is an added advantage.
