Senior Product Development Engineer

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will support and drive new product development activities through a combination of technicalinvestigation, experimental analysis, structured project coordination, anddigital or AI/ML-enabled data interpretation. The role is intended for ahands-on senior engineer or scientist who can contribute technically, managedevelopment workstreams with discipline, and help translate developmentconcepts into practical outcomes aligned with business and customer needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1.NewProduct Development

• Support the development of new products and product improvements from concept through evaluation, technical validation, and implementation
• Plan and execute technical work related to formulation, materials, process optimization, characterization, or product performance assessment
• Work with internal stakeholders to define technical objectives, development priorities, and success criteria
• Contribute to the generation, screening, and down-selection of product concepts and development options

2.Technical Project Coordination

• Coordinate assigned development programs and work packages across technical and cross-functional teams
• Maintain project timelines, action trackers, technical updates, risk logs, and documentation for ongoing development activities
• Monitor progress against milestones and escalate key technical or execution risks where needed
• Support structured project reviews and ensure follow-up actions are tracked to closure

3. DataAnalysis and AI/ML-Enabled Development Support

• Analyze experimental and technical data to support product development decisions and improve development efficiency
• Apply statistical, digital, and AI/ML-based tools where appropriate to identify trends, correlations, and performance drivers
• Support the organization and interpretation of development data from multiple sources to improve technical understanding and decision quality
• Contribute to the use of predictive or data-assisted methods to support screening, optimization, and prioritization of development activities

4.Cross-Functional Technical Support

• Work closely with R&D, quality, operations, applications, and commercial teams to align development work with internal and external requirements
• Support product-related discussions involving technical feasibility, qualification planning, manufacturability, and readiness
• Help translate technical findings into clear summaries and recommendations for broader stakeholder groups
• Assist in resolving technical issues arising during development, evaluation, or early implementation phases

5.Product Readiness and Transfer Support

• Support technical validation, qualification, and product introduction activities as required
• Identify gaps in technical readiness, data completeness, and execution plans prior to implementation or handover
• Prepare development summaries, technical reports, and update materials for internal review
• Contribute to the smooth transfer of development outputs into broader technical or operational use

6.Continuous Improvement

• Improve the rigor and efficiency of development workflows, experiment tracking, and reporting practices
• Support the development of better internal tools and methods for data handling, technical review, and project execution
• Capture lessons learned and promote more structured development practices across programs

QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD or Masters Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
• Relevant experience in product development, materials development, process development, or technical project execution
• Strong capability in handling experimental data, technical problem-solving, and structured development work
• Familiarity with statistical tools, digital workflows, or AI/ML-assisted analysis
• Able to work across technical and non-technical teams with good communication and follow-through
