SYSTEM TEST MANAGER
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers to ensure high productivity, quality, and motivation.
- Collaborate closely with project manager, software manager, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define testing scope.
- Oversee test execution across all phases including functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
- Define, monitor, and report key testing metrics, providing regular updates on progress, quality, and risks to senior management.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software releases and deployments.
- Manage test environments, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes through feedback and retrospectives.
- Coordinate testing activities with external vendors or partners when applicable.
- Provide support for night and after-office hour testing activities as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5-8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial role leading end-to-end testing for large-scale projects in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
- Experience in large scale projects testing and commissioning in the transport/traffic management domain (especially enterprise-wide Traffic Management System related) would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Hands-on experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail), automation tools (e.g., Selenium, UFT), and defect tracking systems.
- Proven experience in vendor/partner collaboration and effective stakeholder management.
- Deep expertise in test management practices and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with performance testing is a plus.
