About the Role

Be an integral part of a small and visible team of world-class Mechanical Engineers making Apple’s first wearable product line. Define and design the future of WATCH. As a member of the WATCH design team, you will build the next generation of the world's most advanced wearable device. You will work closely with cross-functional teams like Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, Antenna, Reliability, Sensors, Environmental, and Marketing to bring future products to life. The WATCH Product Design team is responsible for all of the mechanical parts that make up the Watch in all sizes and materials, as well as the metal mesh, metal link, and rubber bracelets.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 2+ Years in detail part and product design
  • 1 year and above experiences using CAD and drawings (GD\u0026T)
  • 1 year and above experiences usingPlastic and metal part design
  • 1 year and above experiences in Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly
  • Analytical and problem solving skills as applied to Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in ME or equivalent preferred
  • 3-5 years in detailed part and product design
  • Strong materials knowledge
  • Involved in NPI processes with Apple products
  • Experience working with oversea counterparts
