R&D Test Engineer (Disk Manufacturing/ West)

Responsibilities

·               Lead and supervise Engineers, Assistant Engineers, Engineering Assistants, Technicians, and Operators to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

·               Perform full hands-on operation, setup, and troubleshooting of Guzik DET machines or equivalent HDD component testing equipment, with strong knowledge of HDD head and media component testing algorithms.

·               Ensure consistent machine uptime and adequate manpower planning to support continuous R&D and Mass Production (MP)operations.

·               Evaluate new machine technologies to supportcustomer product roadmaps and prepare technical evaluation reports.

·               Drive continuous research and development of critical Guzik parameters to support HDD performance improvement.

·               Conduct in-depth analysis and investigation of media magnetic properties versus electrical performance.

·               Plan and manage direct and indirect materials for budgeting, logistics, and inventory control purposes.

·               Coordinate with other Resonac sites fortechnology and methodology information sharing.

·               Ensure compliance with ISO Standard Operating Procedures and safety practices.

Requirements

·               Bachelors Degree or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.

·               Degree holder with at least 4 years of relevant working experience with electrical / electronic testing scopes. 

·               Proficient in Microsoft Office applications(Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·               Strong communication and analytical skills.

·               Working knowledge of evaluation and testingtechniques.

·               Proficient in statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, JMP, Spotfire, or equivalent software.

·               Knowledge of Visual Basic–based and Python software programming.

·               Able to work in a cleanroom-based environment.
