Field Application Engineer - Semicond Equipment/ Manufacturing

Role Overview

The Field Application Engineer (FAE) is responsible for providing technical support to customers, including troubleshooting, equipment setup, and application-related issues. This role acts as a key bridge between customers and internal teams, supporting project coordination, training, and continuous product improvement within the semiconductor equipment environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
• Troubleshoot equipment, application, and process-related issues

Project Coordination

• Coordinate project activities between customers and internal teams (R&D, Production, Sales)
• Support project timelines, deliverables, and milestones

Technical Training

• Conduct technical training for customers and internal stakeholders
• Prepare training materials, user manuals, and application guides

Market Feedback & Analysis

• Gather customer feedback on product performance and requirements
• Provide insights to internal teams for product improvement
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities

Sample Testing & Evaluation

• Conduct sample testing at customer sites
• Analyze results and provide technical recommendations

Equipment Installation & Validation

• Perform installation, setup, and validation of equipment
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and standards

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering or related field
• 2–5 years of experience in Field Application, Technical Support, or similar roles
• Experience in semiconductor equipment or manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong service attitude
• Willing to travel for on-site customer support
