Senior Engineer, Electrical

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced electrical distribution systems for low and high voltage applications to ensure reliable power delivery
• Develop and review technical documents including design basis, load lists, cable schedules, and single-line diagrams to support project accuracy
• Perform equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, cables, and electrical components to meet system requirements
• Use system studies software (e.g., ETAP, SKM, Amtech) to model electrical systems and conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection relay setting studies for system safety and performance
• Oversee project teams and mentor junior engineers to foster innovation and continuous professional development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals within schedule and budget constraints
• Stay updated on industry trends, standards, and regulations to implement best practices in electrical engineering projects
• Provide technical expertise to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and ensure system reliability
• Contribute to developing company standards and procedures to enhance electrical engineering project quality and consistency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
• 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering focusing on power systems and distribution
• Proven expertise in designing low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
• Proficiency in system studies software such as ETAP, SKM, or Amtech
• Experience with CAD software for electrical design and drafting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Leadership abilities and project management experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
