Application Engineer (.NET / Viewpoint)

Job Summary

You will lead the end-to-end management of the Viewpoint (Quantios vPoint) platform, driving application architecture improvements and vendor alignment to ensure optimal performance and solution delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end application lifecycle, including enhancements, fixes, and upgrades, to maintain platform reliability
• Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Viewpoint platform (Quantios vPoint), coordinating communication and issue resolution
• Drive simplification and improvements in application architecture to enhance system efficiency and scalability
• Plan and execute vendor upgrades and align platform roadmap with business objectives
• Evaluate and implement insourcing strategies for software components to optimize development and maintenance
• Ensure system availability, performance, and capacity are optimized to meet operational demands
• Manage technical debt, assess risks, conduct audits, and enforce access controls to maintain system integrity
• Collaborate with Product Owner and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions aligned with business needs
• Apply DevOps and Agile practices, including CI/CD and SDLC, to streamline development and deployment processes
• Utilize strong .NET stack skills (C#, .NET, Visual Studio) and MS SQL database expertise to support platform development
• Support legacy systems using Visual Basic to ensure continuity and integration
• Manage system integration and vendor platforms to maintain seamless operations
