Planning Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to support engineering project planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities. The role involves developing project plans, tracking deliverables, coordinating across disciplines, and ensuring project timelines are effectively managed in accordance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project master schedules, including engineering, procurement, and construction activities

• Monitor and track project progress across multiple workstreams (e.g., design, procurement, subcontracting, construction coordination)

• Review and validate subcontractor schedules and monitor implementation progress

• Prepare progress reports, including weekly and monthly updates, forecasts, and variance analysis

• Track engineering and technical documentation, ensuring proper version control and record management

• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones

• Support project management in preparing reports, meeting minutes, and documentation

• Maintain proper documentation and archiving of project records in compliance with company procedures

• Perform project progress analysis and provide recommendations for schedule improvement

• Support ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Project Manager

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related discipline

• Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in engineering or EPC project planning (offshore / oil & gas experience preferred but not mandatory)

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in project planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)

• Strong analytical and reporting skills

• Good coordination and stakeholder management abilities

• Strong organisational and documentation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
