Solar Project Engineer

Job Description

The candidate has to lead the execution solar projects including procurement, supervision of subcontractor with the following tasks:


  • Conduct detailed site survey and modify solar PV system designs that meet client requirements, local codes, and industry standards.
  • Optimise system layout for maximum energy production and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct shading analysis and assess site suitability for solar installations.
  • Develop bill of materials (BOM) for projects.
  • Use modelling software to predict system performance and energy output.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations and utility requirements.
  • Coordinate with regulatory authorities to secure necessary approvals.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures for solar installations.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure system integrity and safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to installation teams during system setup.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Create and maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including schematics, drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Manage manpower and ensure project run smoothly.
  • Monitor and ensure systems are operating optimally before handing over to clients.
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols and ensure that all installations meet safety requirements.
  • Provide technical support for sales, proposals, and during potential client meetings.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience in the design and project execution of rooftop solar PV systems.
  • At least 2 years experience in construction / electricial field
  • Proven experience in running projects
  • Consistent and dedicated personality in improving projects including applications of better ideas or improving productivity with management/technical skills
