Role Overview

We are seeking an autonomous, highly secure, and collaborative Senior IT Support Engineer to oversee our IT infrastructure and user support across Singapore and Malaysia. Operating in a high-security environment, you will be the custodian of local data integrity and infrastructure security. You will operate with a high degree of independence, requiring minimal day-to-day guidance, while maintaining a tight, collaborative relationship with our IT Support and Security teams at China HQ to ensure seamless regional alignment.

  • Position: Senior IT Support Engineer (Regional)
  • Location: Singapore (covering Singapore and Malaysia)
  • Reporting & Collaboration Line: Reports to IT Infrastructure Head at China HQ; collaborates closely with China HQ IT Support and Security teams.
  • Language Requirement: Fluent in English and Chinese (essential for technical alignment and daily coordination with HQ).

Key Responsibilities

1. High-Security IT Infrastructure & Compliance

  • Maintain, monitor, and secure local server rooms, networks (Switches, Firewalls, VPNs), and endpoints across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Enforce strict corporate security policies, access controls, and data protection protocols to safeguard company data against vulnerabilities.
  • Act as the local first-responder for any IT security incidents, containing threats immediately and executing mitigation strategies.

2. HQ Coordination& Alignment

  • Serve as the primary technical bridge between Southeast Asia operations and China HQ.
  • Coordinate closely with the IT support and engineering teams in China to deploy global IT initiatives, software updates, and security patches locally.
  • Ensure local infrastructure seamlessly integrates with HQ’s centralized systems while maintaining required localized security barriers.

3. Autonomous Regional Support

  • Provide technical support for local and remote users in Singapore and Malaysia with limited guidance.
  • Manage local IT asset procurement, vendor management, and onboarding/offboarding processes securely.
  • Proactively contribute recommendations to HQ on optimizing regional IT performance without compromising security.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT support and systems administration, with a strong background in high-security industries (e.g., FinTech, Finance, Cybersecurity, or Defense).
  • Proven experience working in a multinational matrix structure, specifically coordinating with cross-border teams.
  • Security-First Mindset: Uncompromising integrity regarding data privacy and corporate security protocols.
  • Bilingual Fluency: Professional proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin and English is mandatory to communicate complex technical and security requirements with HQ.
  • Self-Driven: Ability to make sound decisions and resolve issues independently without waiting for step-by-step instructions.
