Hedge Fund Accountant
Job Description
A Singapore-licensed fund management firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fund Accountant / Fund Operations Analyst to join its investment operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals looking to build deep expertise within the buy-side environment. The role offers broad exposure across fund accounting, middle office operations, portfolio support, and selected regulatory/compliance processes within a lean and high-performing investment platform.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders and gain hands-on experience supporting multi-asset investment strategies across both traditional and alternative structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily and monthly NAV and P&L calculations across multi-asset portfolios, including equities, FX, and derivatives
- Reconcile trades, positions, and cash balances with fund administrators, custodians, brokers, and counterparties
- Monitor and process corporate actions, dividends, and expense accruals
- Support fund flow monitoring, subscriptions/redemptions, and capital movement tracking
- Assist with investor reporting and operational reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate fund and transaction data while investigating and resolving operational breaks
- Liaise with external service providers to ensure timely issue resolution
- Support regulatory and compliance processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in Fund accounting/ Fund administration/ Middle office/ Operations, or Audit with exposure to investment funds
- Familiarity with financial instruments such as listed equities, FX, futures, and options
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Exposure to VBA, Bloomberg, Python, or automation tools is advantageous
- Knowledge of Singapore fund regulatory requirements is beneficial but not essential
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn within a fast-paced environment
