Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead and oversee all commissioning activities for a large-scale power plant project.The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, andexecuting commissioning works to ensure safe, timely, and successful plantstart-up in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage commissioning activities for station operations to ensure compliance with project design, scope, and specifications
• Develop and implement comprehensive commissioning plans, including procedures, schedules, and resource allocation to meet project timelines
• Monitor commissioning progress and ensure alignment with the approved project schedule
• Assign and coordinate qualified commissioning engineers and personnel to execute tasks effectively and efficiently
• Conduct daily commissioning meetings and prepare detailed action plans and task lists to track progress and resolve issues
• Prepare and submit commissioning progress reports to Project Manager / Project Director for informed decision-making
• Coordinate interfaces among construction, engineering, QA/QC, EHS, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless commissioning operations
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases to maintain project momentum
• Lead commissioning meetings during plant start-up to ensure smooth execution of activities and stakeholder alignment
• Manage requisition and allocation of commissioning manpower, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize resource utilization
• Liaise with Quality and EHS teams to enforce compliance with safety and quality standards on-site
• Monitor and control subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely resolution of quality and safety-related issues

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience focused on commissioning activities
• Proven experience managing commissioning works on large-scale power plants or EPC projects
• Strong knowledge of commissioning procedures, start-up processes, and system integration
• Relevant commissioning training certifications and safety qualifications
