What You'll Do
- Grow one or more engineering teams focused on critical areas of our virtual care platform.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Data teams to define long-term vision and roadmap.
- Guide technical strategy and architecture decisions that ensure scalability, performance, and progress.
- Hire and develop engineering talent while promoting an inclusive and accountable team culture.
- Partner across the organization to influence product direction, resourcing, and prioritization.
- Improve engineering processes, quality, and reliability.
What We're Looking For
- Proven engineering leadership at scale – 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in people leadership. You've led multiple teams or company-level initiatives
- Strategic and systems-level thinker – You're comfortable zooming out to align technical strategy with product and business goals. You identify gaps, shape long-term plans, and lead cross-team architecture decisions.
- Experience driving product impact – You've led teams through ambiguous problem spaces and delivered high-quality, user-facing products that move metrics.
- Team builder and culture shaper – You've hired, developed, and retained strong talent. You foster a culture of psychological safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Technical depth – You can engage on architecture and implementation decisions, while also considering trade-offs across cost, velocity, and value delivery.
Physical/Cognitive Requirements:
- Prompt and regular attendance at assigned work location.
- Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment.
- No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required.
- Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner.
