Retail Storekeeper

5 days work week, base on rostering (44 hours per week)

Primary Responsibility

The Storekeeper plays a critical role in supporting store operations by managing inventory flow, ensuring accurate stock handling, and maintaining an organized and efficient back-of-house environment. This role helps ensure that merchandise is readily available for replenishment and that the store operates smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management & Storekeeping

• Receive, check, and verify incoming stock against delivery orders or invoices.
• Replenish merchandise on sales floors in a timely and accurate manner based on store needs.
• Pack, tag, and sort merchandise for storage or display according to standard procedures.
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely deliveries.
• Maintain proper stock organization in both the storeroom and sales floor.
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist in inventory audits as required.
• Report discrepancies, damages, or inventory issues to the store leadership team promptly.

Housekeeping & Safety

• Ensure cleanliness and tidiness in the storeroom and back-of-house areas at all times.
• Dispose of packaging waste and materials (cartons, wrappers, plastics) responsibly.
• Comply with workplace safety, security, and housekeeping standards to maintain a hazard-free environment.
• Ensure safe handling of goods and assist in lifting or moving stock where required.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a stockroom or warehouse role is preferred but not mandatory.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and lifting.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of inventory systems and retail operations is an advantage.
• Team player with a positive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
• Must be able to work retail hours including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
