Physical Security Systems Specialist, Deployment & Ops
Job Description
About Fluidstack
We exist to make humanity more free. For most of human history, you farmed or you starved. Technology gave people more time for the things they wanted to do, instead of things they had to do. Powerful AI will be the biggest lever for human choice we've ever built - but only if models are aligned with what humanity actually wants. There are groups building AI who don't share these goals. Whoever deploys frontier compute infrastructure fastest will decide whether AI expands human freedom or shrinks it.
We're singularly focused on delivering 10 to 100s of GWs of compute faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them - with teams spanning hardware and software. Speed and scale are our key differentiators. Come be a part of building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI.
We hire people who care deeply about this problem space. If that is you, please apply!
About the Role
You'll be the technical backbone of FluidStack's physical security operations, the person who keeps our security systems running and our GSOC sharp. This role sits at the intersection of real-time monitoring and hands-on systems administration: one shift you're managing alarms, dispatching response, and coordinating across sites; the next you're troubleshooting an ACS controller, pushing firmware to a camera fleet, or chasing down why a reader stopped talking to the head-end. We're looking for someone who's equally comfortable on the console and under the hood and who treats every system fault as something to fix permanently, not just clear.
Responsibilities:
Operate the GSOC across FluidStack's data center and site portfolio — alarm monitoring, video review, access event triage, and incident dispatch on a 24/7 basis
Administer and maintain the physical security technology stack, including access control systems, video management systems, intrusion detection, and intercom platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve system faults end-to-end, from individual device failures to head-end issues, integration breaks, and network-layer problems
Manage badge issuance, access provisioning, and credential lifecycle across all sites, ensuring least-privilege access and clean audit trails
Coordinate with on-site security teams, integrators, and IT to drive incidents, work orders, and system changes to closure
Maintain the health of the security systems environment: patching, firmware management, configuration backups, and routine audits of system performance
Document everything that matters: incident reports, system changes, runbooks, and the kind of tribal knowledge that otherwise walks out the door
Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of hands-on experience administering enterprise physical security systems: access control, video management, and intrusion detection at minimum
Direct experience working in or supporting a GSOC, SOC, or similar 24/7 monitoring environment
Strong troubleshooting skills across the full stack — devices, servers, networks, and integrations, and the discipline to root-cause rather than reset
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals: IP addressing, VLANs, switches, and how security systems traverse a network
Comfort with shift work, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotation as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in data center, critical infrastructure, or other 24/7 high-availability environments
Salary & Benefits
Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
Health, dental, and vision insurance.
Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, qualifications, and location. This range represents our good faith estimate of the compensation for this role at the time of posting. Total compensation may also include equity in the form of stock options.
We are committed to pay equity and transparency.
